A-Book and B-Book refer to two different execution models for forex brokers, each with distinct income generation methods:
A-Book (STP - Straight Through Processing):
Brokers act as intermediaries, routing client trades directly to the interbank market or liquidity providers. Income is based on spreads (difference between buy and sell prices) and commissions charged on each trade, regardless of the client's profit or loss.

B-Book (Market Maker):
